Event Description:
Effingham County Project SEARCH will hold the Frosty 5K on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Honey Ridge Agricenter, 477 Honey Ridge Road, in Guyton, Georgia. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Effingham County High School Best Buddies Club, with the remainder benefitting Project SEARCH.
Entry fees: $25 online, $30 on race day. Fees include hydration stations, Post-race refreshments, t-shirt (if registered by December 9, 2022), and medals for top finishers.
Project SEARCH seeks local businesses to sponsor the 5K. Sponsor logos will appear on the race t-shirt. To sponsor, contact Jennifer Spitko, Insuructor, at (912) 656-3612 or via email.
Project SEARCH is a year long high school transition to work program for students with disabilities. It is based at a business and trains interns in competitive, marketable, transferable job skills through three unpaid internships. The goal of Project SEARCH is competitive employment for every intern in the program.
