Event Description:
Poverty is a reality for many individuals and families in Effingham County. Sometimes poverty in a rural setting can be difficult to understand. This interactive immersion experience will sensitize community participants to the realities of poverty.
The cost of admission is free. Participants are encouraged to bring an item to donate to Family Promise of Effingham. Items can be any of the following: toiletries, diapers, wipes, laundry detergent, pillows, cleaning supplies, bottled water, feminine products, towels or washcloths.
This event is sponsored by Citizens of GA Power and hosted by United Way of the Coastal Empire. A light snack and drink will be provided during the simulation
